TORONTO CONTEMPORARY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHy

PADDLING AGAINST THE RIVER
HOW ARE THESE PORTRAITS MADE?
If you are here, it means you are looking for more information about my work. You already know that my portrait photographies are a result of a creative and unique photoshoot, with images that are truly art. But how do we get to that?
1. WE CONNECT
I love listening to people's ideas of a photoshoot. Some want to document the joy, the journey, the pain, or the milestones of their life and I believe all of this deserves to be witnessed, remembered, and cherished.
When you fill out the form on my contact page, I want to hear what it is about and WHY it needs to exist for you. Then we work on HOW.
2. WE COLLABORATE
Once hop on a virtual call and get to know each other a bit better, we will work closely in the following days to create a visual direction for your photo session. It is not required that you should be an artistic person at all. That's what I'm here for.
*If you are an artistic person, guuurl, come through.
I'll ask you some questions and as long as you are honest with me and yourself, the outcome will be images that deeply resonates with your individuality.
3. we HAVE A GOOD TIME TOGETHER
Leaving all technicalities behind, such as considering location, outfits (by the way I have a "Guide on What to Wear" to help out), time and date, we want to make sure we will have a good time together.
It's okay to be nervous at first. To be honest every session makes me a bit nervous, but at some point we will be so in sync the this feeling goes away, be it with cheering together over a very nice click or a crazy random thing we both have in common.
BEING PHOTOGRAPHED IS AN ACT OF CARE

I've always marched to the beat of my own drum, challenging norms and celebrating uniqueness. Initially, it was a teenage rebellion, but over time, it morphed into an act of self-love. This philosophy extends to my photography. Instead of cookie-cutter settings and filters, I personalize each shoot to reflect your essence, ensuring every image is one-of-a-kind. Rather than stiff poses, I advocate for authenticity, allowing you to simply be yourself.
My approach to photography involves things we have forgotten how important they are: setting aside time for self-reflection and self-care.
